{Happy Hooks, Happy Kids}
We were so excited to get these hats in the mail. Sam did a wonderful job; she is such a talented knitter, isn't she? Winston and Olivia were more than eager to show them off for me, and I was so happy to capture such great pictures for her. Every time I trade with someone, I feel so fortunate. I just LOVE working with Sam and hope my pictures help her sell her stuff, because it is just too cute! Go on over to etsy and share the love: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Happyhooks88. And be sure to tell her I sent you! : )

{Owl Eyes}
Owl hats are THE hat to be wearing this season. They're all the rage on the baby scene--really, they are! This adorable hat can be bought on etsy.com ; click on this link to start your shopping: http://www.etsy.com/shop/posieprops. Once there, you'll see that Valerie has many other simply adorable hats--you'll have such a hard time deciding which one to buy (which means you should get them all--hee, hee!). I can't wait for Leala to sit on her own; can't you just picture a naked baby looking back over her shoulder wearing only this hat!? : )

{On, Wisconsin!}
My mom, sister, and I have always been drawn to vintage hankies. Whenever we see them at an estate or rummage sale, we pick one up. My sister has sewn them together to make curtains for her guest room. Recently, my mom sent one of her favorites to Jill at 3 Little Birds Boutique and she made this ADORABLE dress for Olivia. Every time Jill sends me something it's my new favorite piece, but I think it will be hard replacing this one. I just love it! Check out the neat Wisconsin hankie--this has got to be a rare find! : )

{Playmate, Come Out and Play With Me...}
..under the apple tree! This was one of my grandmother's favorite songs. She loved Shirley Temple and loved to sing this to us when we were young. Fitting that I think of this song when I look at these pictures because Olivia is wearing a dress my grandmother bought years and years ago. Yes, this dress was my mother's when she was a little girl. She wore it to her first day of kindergarten, so I wanted my daughter to wear on her first day of 4k. My mother treasures these photos, as do I, for in them many more memories unfold. Hope you have a great first day Olivia! : )

{Sailor Girl}
Laela and I had such a great time at the beach in Sheboygan a few weeks back. We went with a few friends and their children. The bigger kids played in the water while the mommies snapped some great photographs. If you've been to my FB page, you've seen Laela hanging from the sling. It's my current fav. These pictures were taken by my friend Michelle, a fellow photographer. Isn't she good!? I just love how my little Laela looks just like a chubby baby doll here! : )

Holiday Sessions
Now is the time to start thinking about your 2010 holiday card. The fall is a great time to capture family photos here in Wisconsin. This year {JK photography} will be shooting just outside of Marble Park in Winneconne. There's a great view of the river here and the large romantic willow trees will make the perfect backdrop for your photos. Holiday sessions cost $50 and include approximately 5-6 proofs. Proofs will be posted online this year (finally-yeah!) to make it easier for you to view and place your order. A nonrefundable $25 holds your time slot, but don't wait too long because sessions fill up quickly! I will be shooting the following dates/times:
Sunday, October 3rd 10 am-noon, 3-4 pm
Sunday, October 24th noon-2 pm
Sunday, November 7th 10 am-noon
Email or call today to book your holiday session: jennifer@jkfamilyphoto.com & 920.252.0661.
