37 Weeks and Counting!

At just over 37 weeks, I'm beginning to get nostalgic. Of course, I cannot wait for our new little one to arrive. Yet at the same time knowing this will be the last time I carry a baby, I'm finding myself flooded with ideas in these final weeks. When I should be resting for what is to come, I'm instead shopping at Target and JoAnn Fabrics for more props! I know, crazy isn't it? As a photographer, I'm rarely in front of the camera (which is normally just fine with me), but I so desperately want to capture this moment in my life on film in as many ways as I can. For all you expecting moms out there, here's some advice: take as many pictures as you can. Celebrate that little one growing inside! : )

A Little Shut-Eye

Isn't it amazing how easily and peacefully newborns sleep? Garrett was more than cooperative with this shoot, allowing me to position and reposition him without even opening an eye for an instant. I hope he's this good for his mother, who surely would benefit from a few moments of shut-eye herself. As I, myself, approach this stage of motherhood once again, I cannot help but cling to such thoughts...

What fun Olivia had at this recent photo shoot. You'd never guess the weather was only in the lower 40's, but that's my girl! Looking back at them, I can't decide which is my favorite! Lovin' Life

As a parent, I know how fleeting those early months can be; children just grow up way too fast! I remember photographing these two sweethearts last summer and looking at how they've grown in such a short time, I feel grateful for being able to capture yet another moment in their lives. They're lovin' life and lovin' each other!
